Last week the roller coaster at the Melbourne Show was probably very popular but the Marysville golfers had to deal with their own roller coaster concerning the local weather forecast. Playing conditions were perfect last Saturday when all the golfers played a stableford round. A number of men had qualified for the final of the Barton Cup which was the main event of the day. Last Thursday the Dalhousie Veterans played at Marysville with 46 players vying for the 2026 Presidents Cup. Conditions were a little heavy but the weather was fine with cloud overhead for most of the round. Members and friends of the Marysville Golf club would like to send their condolences to the friends and family of Steve Darmody who died suddenly last week. Steve was an avid golfer and a member of the Alexandra Golf Club. Many of the Marysville golfers played with Steve in a number of club and Dalhousie events and most recently in the Foodworks Murrindindi Masters.
