Marysville Golf Report – 13 December 2025
Brian Worcester (19) on the 14th Green, had a day out with a nett 71. Last Thursday the nine holers played a stroke competition on the front nine holes, with Mark Alexander (3) claiming the win after a three-way countback with Glen Rattay (5) and Brian Worcester (9). Richy Clark won the nearest the pin on the 9 th hole with no player being able to reach the green with a tee shot on the 4 th hole. Marysville Golf Report – 6 December 2025
Today’s December Monthly Medal brought dogged competition across the small but hardy players in both the men’s and women’s fields, that endured dramatic and unforgiving weather that swept through the course. The men’s winner was Steve Coker (18) with a net 73 with a steady performance on a day when conditions tested every part of the game. It was another busy week at the club with members hosting two events and playing in the regular weekly competitions. On Thursday the Dalhousie Veterans played a Stableford round before having lunch and holding their AGM in the clubhouse. The 42 players enjoyed the course and the lunch supplied by chef Bicky in the Pavilion Bar and Grill. After hosting the recent fundraising event and men’s tournament, and following last week’s round at Alexandra, the Saturday golfers were pleased to return to Marysville. Marysville Golf Report – 1 November 2025
Last Thursday, the nine-hole summer competition kicked off with a BBQ before a round of golf on the front nine. The delicious BBQ was kindly provided by Amanda and Glen Rattay and Mark Alexander and expertly cooked by Richy Clark. On Saturday 25 th October the ladies played the final round of the 2025 Ladies’ Championships. The winner of the championship title was, for the 14 th time, Gail Leigh with 267. Inaugural GVW Community Standpipe Cup
The upcoming GVW Standpipe Cup Event is to be held at Marysville on Saturday 8th of November, as part of our Anniversary Fundraiser Event. Teams from Seymour, Yea, Euroa, Mansfield and GVW will be competing for the Inaugural Standpipe Cup. Marysville is looking forward to hosting this exciting event with all the GVW irrigated Clubs. Last Saturday, 18 October, the men played the final round of the Club Championships. Glen Rattay (12) was declared the 2025 Club Champion with a total of 255 over three rounds. Congratulations to Glen for winning the title in his first year of regular Saturday golf.
