As the cooler days set in the extra activities at the club diminish somewhat but the golfers do play enthusiastically  in the Thursday 9 hole and Saturday 18 - hole competitions. Visitors to the area are most welcome to join the weekly competitions and can just turn up and play.  Thursday 12.30 for a 1.00pm tee off and Saturdays 9.30 for 10.00am tee off.

The Thursday nine holers played stableford on the front nine holes and the winner was Glen Rattay (4) with 19 points. Lloyd Flaherty (9) was not far behind with 18 points. No player was able to reach the 4th green with their tee shot but Peter Lilley was nearest the pin on the 9th

After a cool start the Saturday golfers played stroke for the first round of the Winter aggregate. It was a case of  ‘…..Where have all the ladies gone’… but with some recovering from illness and others returning from holidays the numbers should increase over the next few weeks. The ladies winner was Gail Leigh (12) with nett 75 followed by Margaret Blair (36) with nett 89. Keith Atwell (17) won the men’s section with nett 70 followed by Glen Rattay (11) with nett 75. Gail Leigh, Justin Ruddock and Margaret Blair won the nearest the pins and Margaret also won the Golden Shot. Richy Clark won the putting with 26 putts. Next Saturday the second round of the Winter Aggregate will be played and the Match Committee will have a meeting after the presentation.

Trailer loads of firewood are still available at the club and can be delivered at no cost throughout the Triangle area. The cost is $120 for a 6 x 4’ trailer load and orders can be made by contacting the club on 5963 3241.
