Marysville Golf Report Oct 18

Another week of lovely weather and a number of golfers both members and green fee players were out playing on the course and admiring the spring blooms and the ducks with their growing ducklings! One of the visitors commented that Marysville was one of the prettiest courses they had ever played on and naturally all the members agreed.
On Thursday the nine holers played stableford on the front nine holes and the winner was Glen Rattay (4) with 22 points. Keith Atwell (7) was the runner up with 18 points. Mark Alexander had the nearest the pin on the 9th hole but no one reached the 4th green from the tee.
On Saturday both the men and ladies played stroke for the 2nd round of the Club Championships. The ladies daily winner was Sabrina Stow (26) with nett 75 followed by Heather Jenkins (22) with nett 77 on a countback from Margaret Blair. Steve Coker (20) with nett 70 was the men’s daily winner followed by Drew Kaempkes (10) with nett 75. The nearest the pins were won by Keith Atwell on the 9th, Glen Rattay on the 18th and a visitor from Alexandra Eoin Hannick on the 11th. Eoin also won the Golden Shot and Drew won the putting with 26 putts. The 3rd and final round of the club championships will be played next Saturday and those on the leaderboard are Gail Leigh, Heather Jenkins, Sabrina Stow, Steve Coker, Glen Rattay, Richy Clark, Keith Atwell and Travers Stow.
The weekend of the 7th and 8th of November will be a busy one for all members when they host the annual team Ambrose Fundraising event on Saturday 7th and the Mixed Tournament on Sunday the 8th. Information regarding these two events can be found on the club Website and Facebook page. Also if anyone is available to help on either of these days, please contact Steve Coker. We are also looking for donations for the auction.
