Whilst the ladies were playing the final round of their Club championships, the men were playing the final of the Par Shield. The winner of the shield and the daily competition was Adam Littlejohn with an excellent +4 followed by Drew Kaempkes with +2. Adam claimed nearest the pins on the 9th and 18th leaving Richy Clark to win the 4th, 11th together with the Golden Shot. Next Saturday all golfers will play a stroke round for the November monthly medal. Our thanks to David Douthwaite for stepping in to ensure golf results were processed on the day during the protracted transition to the new Golf Australia handicapping system.

This is definitely the season for finals. The nine holers played the final round of the Winter Cup last Thursday, with Keith Atwell (10) winning with an impressive of 41 Stableford points. Members warmly congratulate Keith on his victory. Gail Leigh (7) was runner-up with 38 points, followed by Amanda Rattay (14) on 36 points. Keith and Gail also claimed the nearest the pins.

Next Thursday marks the start of the Summer Season for our nine-hole golfers, kicking off with a BBQ lunch at 12:00 pm, followed by an Ambrose game at 1:00 pm. All members are welcome to join in the fun!

As part of the clubs major fundraising event on Saturday 8th November, the Goulburn Valley Water Standpipe Cup will be contested between clubs irrigated by GV Water. The clubs registered so far include Seymour, Yea, Euroa, Mansfield, and a GV Water team, with other clubs warmly invited to join the four-person Ambrose competition.

The following day, Sunday, 9 November, will feature the annual Marysville Mixed Tournament. For more information, please visit the club website and Facebook page. The Club would like to thank all the members who made donations towards the raffle prizes for the event.
