Golf Report - 4 November 2023

Last Thursday six Marysville ladies played in the tournament at Seymour golf club. In glorious conditions the ladies from Marysville had a number of successes. Helen Howard ( 21) was the runner up in B Grade with net 73, Lesley Rundle (28) won C Grade with net 75 on a countback from Margaret Blair (30) who also won a nearest the pin on the 17th hole. Heather Jenkins was a member of the winning small teams event. Helen Howard was awarded 4 Dalhousie Player of the Year points which places her at the top of the table with just three more events to go before the end of the year.

On Saturday Helen Howards good form continued with an excellent stroke round for the November monthly medal. With a handicap of (24) Helen had a score of net 68. The ladies runner up was Jody Doran (14) with net 72 on a countback from Kelly Lloyd-Vanni (35). Congratulations to Helen on a great round of golf. The winner of the men’s medal was Steve Berry (8) with net 70 followed by Ray Jones (17) with net 71. Steve also won the putting with 25 putts. The nearest the pins were won by Heather Jenkins, Ray Jones and Ming Kuan (2) who also won the Golden Shot.


Next Saturday both the men and ladies will play stableford with the ladies round including the Norman Trophy. The Men’s/Mixed Tournament will be held on Sunday Nov 12th and the following week on the 18 November Marysville will host the first round of the Foodworks Murrindindi Masters.
