Golf Report - 4 May 2024

Last Saturday both the men and ladies played a stroke round for the May monthly medal and the ladies round included the third round of the Barton Shield. The ladies winner was Gail Leigh (11) with nett 75 followed by Heather Jenkins (19) with nett 74. The men’s medal winner was Peter Lilley (15) with nett 71 on a countback from Keith Atwell (19) . Ming Kuan won the putting competition with 27 putts and Jody Doran, Helen Howard, Peter Lilley and Keith Atwell won the nearest the pins and Keith also won the Golden Shot. During the presentation members helped Heather Jenkins celebrate her Birthday with a delicious cake made by the chief cake maker Helen Howard. Next Saturday a stableford game will be played with the men playing the third round of the Barton Cup.


Whilst the finals of the men’s District pennant was played at Strathbogie on Sunday the ladies season continues. Last Monday the Marysville ladies were beaten in the third round by the Seymour/Trentham team. Members congratulate Seymour/Trentham and thank Jody Doran, Miriam Page, Helen Howard, Jenny Coleman and Lesley Rundle for representing Marysville. This week they played Alexandra at Kilmore.


Last Thursday three ladies played in the Euroa Tournament, enjoyed the well-prepared course and thank the Euroa ladies for their hospitality. The Dalhousie ladies event this week is the Yea ladies Bowl.
