Golf Report - 7th November 2021

On Saturday both the men and the ladies played a stroke round for the November monthly medal. Despite unsettled weather being forecast conditions were very good and players were wishing they had packed their sunscreen in their golf bags.


The lady’s winner was Gail Leigh (11) with nett 75 followed by Jody Doran (12) with nett 77. The men’s winner was Ross Ansell (15) with nett 71 and the runner up was Travers Stow (18) with nett 73. The nearest the pins were won by Keith Atwell, Gail Leigh, Paul Martin and Adam Littlejohn who also won the golden shot. The putting was won by Travers Stow with 25 putts. Any player who scores a birdie or has a gobbler during competition play are reminded to add their name to the list in the club rooms.


Last Thursday a number of ladies played a social game at Mansfield Golf Club and enjoyed the course and the camaraderie. The next Dalhousie event is the Seymour Bowl on Thursday 11 November followed by the Romsey tournament on Monday 15 November and the Dalhousie Ladies Championships at Alexandra on the 25 November. Marysville will have representatives at all these events.


The next few weeks will be busy for the Marysville members with a number of events to be held on their own course. The annual men’s tournament will take place over 3 days from 12-14 November. The 1st round of the Foodworks Murrindindi Masters will be held at Eildon on Saturday 20 November. The club captains from Yea, Alexandra, Marysville and Eildon are currently receiving entries. There will be no competition at Marysville on that day. The club AGM will be held at 9.00 am on Saturday 27 November followed by a stableford game. The December monthly medal will be held on December 4, Medal of Medallists on the 11 and Presentation Day on the 18 December.
