Last Saturday a number of golfers decided to stay warm and cosy in their homes rather than play golf in cool conditions but for those who did brave the elements the day turned out to be a lovely sunny one. Both the men and ladies played a stroke round for the second and final round of the Winter Aggregate. The ladies daily winner was the ever - consistent Gail Leigh (10) with nett 73 and the runner up was Heather Jenkins (18) with nett 78. These scores meant that Gail won the ladies Winter Aggregate with nett 151 and to top off an excellent days golf Gail won three of the four nearest the pins and the Golden Shot. Well played Gail. The men’s daily winner was Keith Atwell (18) with nett 68 followed by Travers Stow (18) with nett 74. The winner of the Winter Aggregate was Mark Bambery (24) with nett 149. Adam Littlejohn won the remaining nearest the pin on the 18th hole which he then birdied and Ray Jones won the putting competition with an excellent 23 putts.
Next Saturday both the men and the ladies will play a Par round and the men’s round will be the second round of the Par Shield.
