During 2021 a number of trophy games were cancelled and not rescheduled but we were able to complete most of the monthly medal games. On the first Saturday of each month a stroke round was played for the monthly medal and golfers were able to complete all but three of them. On Saturday all those who won a medal throughout the year competed for the title of Medal of Medalist. The men’s winner was Richy Clark (15) with 68 nett and Heather Jenkins (20) won the ladies section with nett 76. Heather won on a countback from MIm Page (21) and Brian Worcester (20) was the men’s runner up with nett 69. Congratulations to Richy and Heather. The nearest the pins were won by Ming Kuan, Mim Page, and Adam Littlejohn (2) who also won the Golden Shot. Jody Doran had the least putts for the day with 27.
On Thursday in the nine-hole competition Gail Leigh (4) played an excellent round in the nine-hole competition. She had 36 off the stick, one under Par for the front nine holes. Well played Gail that was a great feat!
After play on Saturday the members helped Helen Howard celebrate her Birthday by sharing a delicious chocolate Birthday cake with her.
Members are reminded that play next Saturday begins at 8.30 as lunch and presentations will take place after the game. The game played will be a team game with a twist and should create a lot of fun. The dress up theme this year is a character from a book, TV show or film.
