Marysville Golf Report 14th Feb

Last Saturda,y another very successful round of the Foodworks Murrindindi Masters was held at Eildon. A field of 97 players attended which included 13 men and 10 ladies representing Marysville. The Marysville players who were on the winners list were Sabrina Stow (22), winning A Grade with 40 points, Beverley Bellman (34) winning B Grade with 39 points, Steve Coker (16) was runner up in B Grade with 34 points, and Peter Lilley won the nearest the pin on the 5^th hole. Congratulations to these players and also to Sandi McClear and Michael Lynch from Eildon for winning the 2026 Eildon Mini Masters titles. All winners were delighted to receive the very generous vouchers from Foodworks, and all golfers thank them for their ongoing support.  The course was beautifully presented, and Marysville members thank all the Eildon volunteers for their hard work and hospitality.  On Saturday, 28^th February, the four clubs will meet at Yea for the final round of the Masters.  Next Saturday, the Marysville golfers will play stroke for the February monthly medal, and the ladies round will include the first round of the Barton Shield.

The Thursday nine holers played stroke on the back nine holes, and Glen Rattay (7) was the winner with nett 35 on a countback from Richy Clark. The nearest the pins were won by Gail Leigh and Brian Worcester, and Bob Emblin's putting was on fire with 11 putts. Our thanks to Amanda Rattay for each week reporting the results of the Thursday nine-hole competition.

The Marysville members are preparing for a very busy month of March at the club with the annual Lakeside Challenge on Saturday 7^th March, a golf clinic on Tuesday, 17^th March, the Ladies Sandy Wilson Bowl on Thursday 26^th March and the Dalhousie Veterans on Tuesday 31 March.
