Richard Clark (15) won the men’s event with 36 points followed by Steve Coker (18) with 35 points on a countback from Adam Littlejohn. The nearest the pins were won by Travers Stow, Gail Leigh, Adam Littlejohn and Kelly Lloyd who also won the Golden shot. At the presentation Peter Lilley was welcomed back after his mishap on the course earlier in the year, Jillian Chandler was welcomed back after her surgery and Kelly Lloyd a Marysville part time resident was welcomed to the competition.
Last Thursday two teams of Marysville ladies played in the Alexandra Ladies Bowl. The team comprising Beverley Bellman with 40 points, Heather Jenkins with 34 points and Jillian Chandler with 30 points won the Bowl with 106 points. This was a great result particularly for Jillian who was playing in her first golf competition since her hip surgery in December. Jenny Coleman with 37 points was a member of the winning small teams event. Congratulations to the Marysville ladies for their successes. Thanks to the Alexandra ladies for their hospitality and for a well-organized event. This week five ladies will travel to Lancefield to play in their ladies tournament. The Marysville Ladies Bowl will be held on Thursday March 24th.
On Friday 11th March a social gathering for all members will be held in the clubhouse from 5.30pm. Drinks and nibbles will be complimentary and it will be a chance for weekday, full and Metro60 members to meet each other and to chat to the club committee and officials.
Next Saturday both the ladies and men will play a stroke round for the March monthly medal and the ladies round will include the first round of their Championships.
