Last Saturday in beautiful autumn weather both the ladies and men played a stroke round for the April monthly medal. The ladies winner was Jillian Chandler (34) with an excellent nett 70 followed by Rebecca Lee (25) with nett 78. The men’s winner was Ming Kuan (14) with nett 71 and Steve Berry (12) with nett 72 was the runner up on a countback from Andrew O’Shea and Brian Worcester. The nearest the pins were won by Andrew O’Shea, Gail Leigh, Duncan Talbot and Peter Jeffery who also won the putting with 23 putts. Duncan Talbot won the Golden Shot. The excellent weather conditions encouraged a number of visitors to play on the course and it was good to see them enjoying their golf.
On Monday 11th April a number of Marysville ladies played in the Jean Wallder Bowl at Yea. This is an event organised by the Dalhousie committee and is the only Bowl which is decided on a stroke score. The winners of the Bowl were RACV Healesville. Congratulations to them and many thanks to the Yea ladies for their hospitality. This week the ladies will travel to Broadford to play in their tournament.
The next round of the men’s pennant will be on Sunday 24th April when Marysville will play Alexandra at Strathbogie.
Our thanks to course volunteer Jim Bisset for all his work on the dam near the 7th green. This area now looks stunning and enhances the views around the green. Jim’s work is much appreciated.
Next Saturday both the ladies and men will play stroke and the ladies’ round will be the 3rd round of the ladies Championships. Members are asked to note that next Saturday is the first week of the winter tee off time 9.30 for 10.00 am.
