The fire on Black Saturday, 7 February 2009, took the lives of five people who were members of the Marysville Community Golf & Bowls Club. Three of them were the youngest amongst our membership and the other two were long standing members of the club and the broader Marysville community. This loss is a significant proportion of the total lives confirmed as lost in the Marysville fires. To us they are not just statistics; they are friends and companions we have lost and will miss forever.
