How you can help
Over many years, the golf course at Marysville has provided great pleasure, and perhaps some frustration, to many a golfer. The beauty and serenity of the course, with its magnificent backdrop of mountains and meandering river meant an idyllic walk even if the golf was erratic! The course and the town provided a tonic for the world-weary at just over an hour’s drive from Melbourne.
Following the devastating fires of Black Saturday, it is our beautiful course that needs the help and ministrations of all those who have enjoyed, or ever wanted to sample, the healing air of Marysville and her golf course.
So please help us return the course and our town to their previous tranquil beauty by participating in one or more of the programs below:
‘Adopt a Hole’ Program
The ‘Adopt a Hole’ Program is designed to recognise forever the generosity of Individuals, Golf Clubs or Corporations who contribute a significant amount to our rebuilding efforts following the devastation of the 2009 Black Saturday Bushfires. This program will run until the anniversary of Black Saturday (7 February 2010), when memorial plaques will be cast and set into the teeing area of each hole (one plaque per hole). Donors can choose to participate in one or more of three categories:
- Gold
Only 18 of these categories are available – one per hole. Holes will be allocated on request, or if your chosen hole is unavailable an alternative will be offered. Each Gold Donor will be recognised on a plaque - acknowledging their valuable and much appreciated gift - set into the tee on their hole. Gold ‘Adopt a Hole’ programs are available for any contribution of AUD $15,000 or over. - Silver
Up to five of these categories are available per hole. Donors can choose a specific hole, or allow the committee to allocate their donation to a hole. All Silver Donors will be listed on a plaque set into the tee on their hole. Silver ‘Adopt a Hole’ programs are available for any contribution between AUD$5,000 to AUD$14,999. - Bronze
Unlimited numbers of these categories are available. Donors can choose a specific hole, or allow the committee to allocate their donation to a specific hole. All Bronze Donors will be listed on a plaque set into the tee on their hole. Bronze ‘Adopt a Hole’ programs are available for any contribution between AUD$1,000 to AUD$4,999.

Become a 'Friend of Marysville Community Golf & Bowls Club'
To become a ‘Friend of Marysville Community Golf & Bowls Club’ all you need to do is donate some money to help us with our re-building efforts. Anything you can spare will be much appreciated. All you need to do is download the form, complete it, and either fax it to us with your credit card details or mail it to us with your cheque or credit card details.

Purpose of the sponsorship programs
Funds raised through these programs will be used by the Marysville Community Golf and Bowls Club to:
- Remove fallen and badly damaged trees
- Purchase and plant new trees
- Re-build badly damaged greens
- Plant new grass on tees, fairways and greens
- Clear debris from the course and waterways
- Restore course signage
- Re-build all bridges
- Replace perimeter fencing
- Replace underground watering system
- Re-build equipment and storage sheds
- Replace all of our tools
- Purchase new or second-hand mowers, tractors, and golf carts.
